Stumped!

Hey All! I have a serious problem here, and not sure what to do about it. I started this blog a little less than two months ago, and wanted to post some of my poetry here. At least that is what I was thinking about. I had never dealt with a blog ever, however I had read of few of my close friends blogs, mostly having to do with educational material, or their own education. I had a few friends that were blogging about their thesis for school; they were trying to gather their thoughts together using a blog. I said to myself, "Ah, that sounds like a great ...just what I needed to help me with a manuscript I have been trying to write for a Publisher." Now the first post I wrote did have one of my poems in it, however, I guess it didn't interest too many. Therefore, I tried one of my short stories, the went over a bit better, but still not enough. started getting somewhat confused.

I have now read many blogs, and have made many wonderful new friends here in the blogger-sphere world. I have read blogs some very interesting blogs on Human Rights, Political Activism, Educational materials about different countries, computer information, personal blogging, pets, knitting, mother's blogs, and so many others. It is really something though, I have about 21 different Countries, and about 140 places in the USA looking at my blog. I guess some of those may be repeats, but still I love the fact that I get to talk, and become friends with different cultures all over the world.

I received an email the other day, that said, "I was checking out your blog and noticed that you have some great posts. I was just wondering if you had a specific focus of your blog?" Then I started to realize that, no, I really didn't. I have written posts about many different things that I might be interested in, however, there is no sense of direction, or focus. What I am now trying to figure out is where is, and what is my focus, or what should it be. I do have interests in many different areas, and what I seem to have been doing is just writing about whatever pops into my head.

So folks, I need focus, and thought I might be able to get some help with some comments people might write. One of my biggest interests lies in the Paranormal, such as the ghost story I wrote, and the other post about ghost orbs. There were a few that enjoyed my short "Ghost in the House" post. So maybe that is the root I should go? I also like to write short stories, something that may have happened in my own life. I need to forget about my poetry for now, since not many of those that visit my page don't seem to care for it. I also like to write about my dog, she is such a character.

So is there anyone out there that can maybe make a few suggestions to help me out to begin to have some sort of focus? Now, I am asking for some help, so please don't hold back, and let me know what you think, what would you like to read about?

I think Ghost stories is the way to go!

Like Molder from X-Files says, "I need to Believe!"

Hi Skye!
Glad to see you back!
I agree with that, paranormal stories coming from a first hand experience is cool. I mean, no one else could have written about that other than the person who experiences it right?
Cute doggy stories are nice too.

I think a focus on ghost stories is good. I think you should have some sort of niche or angle in the ghost stories, like a point of view that would be interesting for the reader to see.

Oh I love ghost stories. But, I don't think you should totally walk away from your poetry either.

The poem I read at Euro's was a very powerful social statement.

Ewwwwww...maybe you could combine your talent for poetry with delicious ghostly poems.

Who knows you might be the next Edgar Allen Poe.

Thanks for dropping Skye. Jonah arrived yesterday afternoon at 5:10 pm with a healthy set of lungs and everything intact.

I am out on the road now and it is very difficult to blog or post while bouncing down the road in this big rig.

But, I will try to get some pictures up later this afternoon!!
BigHugs for you my latest and newest dera friend!!

Being new to the wild and wet world of blogging. I understand your dilemma, Don't give up on your passion for poetry, but say do one a week or every two weeks that way it keeps it fresh for you and your readers.

I wanted to thank each, and everyone of you for reading my post, and trying to help me figure out a good focus for my blog.

With all of your help, I have come to a conclusion of what that focus will be, and will be posting on that very soon. I do have a post I am working on right now, that more than likely will be of interest to all. I won't tell you what it is at the moment, but will tell you this, it was a promise to one particular person which I will name later.

I am going to respond to all those individuals I haven't yet responded to.

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for dropping by with your comment Hun. Yes, I am back, and still kicking, so guess I am ok. :)
Thanks for thinking of that, and of me.

I know you said in one of your comments that ghost stories kind of weird you out sometimes, but these might be a bit different than you think. Also, I do know you like the cute dog stories too! Maybe I can stick one in once and awhile, just for you. :)

Hi Shinade,
Congratulations on your new grandson! I am happy to see you here, my dear friend. I am glad everything went okay with your new arrival. Pictures would be great!

Not sure I can be the next Edgar Allen Poe, however that sounds good to me. That WOULD be nice! But, no matter what I do with my blog, I will still continue to write my poetry, who knows, I may get a chance to intertwine it within the posts. Thanks for the compliment about the other poem.
Hugs back to you also!

Hi Janice,
My newest friend, thanks for stopping by, and making your comment, even though your new like myself. However, I do think you have a great blog, which I mentioned in a comment on your page.

Well, it seems like there are a few that don't want me to give up my poetry, so guess some still like poetry...which is great to know, otherwise, no one will ever buy the book I am about to Author.

And, thanks to you for becoming my newest friend! :)
